The past few months have marked a period of rapid growth at EdVenture Partners (EVP), and last month eight new staff were hired, completing training in Orlando, Florida, on July 8.

Seven of those positions are Program Coordinators, who were hired to facilitate over 160 schools enrolled with either our new fall program, the Acura ILX Marketing Challenge, or the Peer to Peer: Challenging Extremism (P2P) program with the U.S. Department of State and Facebook, now in its fourth term, which EVP will continue to manage.

Each Program Coordinator will oversee up to 25 schools around the world, and we are thrilled to welcome each of our new hires on board, some of whom are alumni of EVP programs themselves.

Brandi graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a B.A. in marketing, with a minor in public relations/advertising as well as a Certificate in Professional Selling. After graduating magna cum laude, Brandi went on to participate in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. During her time there she worked as a Space Ranger in Tomorrowland, where she created “Disney magic” in a guest relations role, learning from one of the best brands in the business with their “guestology” gold standard of customer service. Brandi is an alumna of the EVP AT&T Brand Campus Challenge program, where she served as PR and Advertising Coordinator and helped to lead her team to first place at regional competition. She has won a major poker tournament in Las Vegas and would love to one day compete in the World Series of Poker.

Brittany is a marketing and public relations professional with years of experience — working on campaigns for start-ups and entrepreneurs, to Fortune 500 companies and celebrities like former Miss World contestant Aniska Tonge, and Chilli from TLC, one of the best-selling female music groups of all time. Brittany has worked for agencies and as an independent contractor in both the Atlanta, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina, areas — specializing in overall PR strategy and social media content. Another former EVP program participant, Brittany received her start as a PR Coordinator with the Chevrolet Campus Promotions program, and later worked directly with the Chevrolet, Honda and Mazda auto brands. She completed her studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she obtained a degree in marketing, with minors in both economics and African American studies. In her free time, you can usually find her planning a trip cross-country or toying with new recipes for social gatherings with family and friends.

EVP considers our faculty and student alumni valuable members of our global network and family. Four of our eight recent hires were former student participants! Check out our website for further job opportunities or stay in touch by subscribing to our quarterly newsletter here.

Isabelle comes from a background working primarily in the nonprofit sector. Prior to working for EdVenture Partners, she worked as a volunteer coordinator at a nonprofit food pantry in northern Illinois. Isabelle graduated from Northern Illinois University as part of their honors program and with summa cum laude honors, with a B.S. in community leadership and civic engagement, special focus on social entrepreneurship. She studied abroad and completed an internship in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, Mexico. Isabelle continued her education at NIU’s graduate school and now holds a Masters of Public Administration. Outside of her professional endeavors, she plays the ukulele and otherwise pursues her passion for music.

Natalie graduated cum laude from Elmhurst College and holds a B.A. in psychology and communication studies. While in school, she gained professional experience and mentored students when she worked for The Letters Project, a nonprofit that manages an online community to write letters of support to families whose children are battling terminal illnesses. As Program Coordinator, she recruited schools, designed lesson plans and provided customer support, feedback and analytics. Prior to landing her current role with EVP, Natalie was an administrative assistant at a Top 15 CPA firm. Her hobbies include listening to live music, trying new restaurants and taking care of her elderly Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen pup, Charlie.

Natasha is a recent graduate from James Madison University. She graduated with a B.A. in international affairs, with a double minor in Spanish and nonprofit studies. Previously Natasha has interned with the American Committees on Foreign Relations, the Embassy of Pakistan, Womankind Worldwide, and taught English in Madrid, Spain. An EVP program alumna, Natasha participated in and was the JMU team leader for the Peer to Peer: Challenging Extremism program. In her free time Natasha enjoys traveling the world to experience and learn new, unique cultures, drawing guidance and inspiration from her favorite quote by Mahatma Ghandi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Paige recently completed her M.F.A. in creative writing from Florida State University, where she taught composition and was nominated for the Excellence in First-Year Teaching Award. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in American studies and English. Afterwards, as an AmeriCorps member, she taught poetry at the Douglas County Jail and Douglas County Corrections Center in Lawrence, Kansas, before moving to Seoul, South Korea, to teach kindergarten. Her lifelong passions include vintage clothing, fitness, stand-up comedy, and community engagement.

Shavanna is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, and holds a B.S in marketing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is an EVP alumna, having led the Market Research team for the Chevrolet Campus Promotions program. Shavanna has worked in banking and financial services over the last eight years, establishing expertise with customer relationship management and managing cross-site teams. She was most recently a brokerage associate for a mutual fund company where she was responsible for process improvement and employee engagement within her department. Shavanna was site lead for the North Carolina Diversity Advancement Committee, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. An ideal night off for Shavanna would include eating Mexican food (her absolute favorite!) with her friends and watching Grey’s Anatomy.

Additionally, EVP has hired a Communications Manager, who will oversee all aspects of marketing and communications for the organization.

Stacey was most recently Chief Content Officer for a marketing/PR agency and has worked with agencies in Los Angeles and Nashville on marketing campaigns for brands such as United Airlines, Build-a-Bear, McDonald’s, General Mills and Toyota. She holds a B.A. in journalism/public relations and commercial music from Mississippi University for Women where she graduated from the Honors College, magna cum laude. Stacey got her start as a PR intern for an international arts festival and went on to become a political campaign manager, then speechwriter and government spokesperson, before transitioning to the ad agency and brand side. She has also worked in post production for episodic network television, on over 15 different series such as The West Wing, and can occasionally be heard (but not seen) singing on songs or score.
