ADL LAUNCHES STUDENT-LED PROGRAM TO “INNOVATE AGAINST HATE”
Student teams will compete to build best-in-class social marketing campaigns
New York, NY, March 5, 2018 … In response to the challenge of rising hate on college campuses, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has launched a new program challenging students to build, launch and scale a social marketing campaign that will work to counter hate on extremism in campus and society.
NESA regional P2P winners named in New Delhi
Thanks to a sponsorship from the Near East South Asia (NESA) Center for Strategic Studies, five universities in India participated in a regional Peer to Peer (P2P): Challenging Extremism competition throughout the fall 2017 term. After submitting their ideas for how to challenge online hate and extremism in their communities, three teams appealed to an expert panel of judges in the final round of competition, held in New Delhi on January 25, 2018.
85 student teams, 35MM impressions and four global winners
On January 30, the fall 2017 Peer to Peer (P2P): Facebook Global Digital Challenge final competition was held in Washington, D.C., at the National Union Building. This program was sponsored by Facebook and managed by EdVenture Partners.
Over the last two to three months, 85 student teams participated in this sixth iteration of the P2P program, competing for the best creative social and digital media campaign to counter hate and extremism…
U.S. winners named for Peer to Peer: Challenging Extremism fall 2017
Eleven U.S. schools participated in the fall 2017 Peer to Peer: Challenging Extremism program, and on December 15, judges announced the winners:
First Place: University of Central Oklahoma
Second Place: University of Rhode Island
Third Place: University of Massachusetts Lowell
